Target practice at Christmas......

Sat. morning the boys went clay pigeon shooting. Us girls decided to go along. We thought that they would just shoot a few clay pigeons, right? WRONG!!!!!!! There was fifty rounds for everyone and their was about 8 people shooting! It was really cold out so Uncle Jonathan brought down the van so us girls could sit in it and watch.

Waiting at Aunt Glenna's house.
At the target place, Glen and Jonathan H. sitting together.

Uncle Galen ended up hitting the most clay pigeons.

Thankfully the van gave us a little shelter from the cold!
Kaitlyn wasn't feeling good, so she laid down in the van.

Dead Deer Update

People have been emailing, wondering if we were able to continue on our trip to Florida after our deer kill. The deer did 3,000.00 in damage, including ruining the radiator, making the van unable to be driven. The collision place said that it would take 2 weeks to fix, but we were able to borrow a van to continue on our way, and we are in Florida at our grandparents, and will be in Hobe Sound all of next week.

Preparation for the family Christmas get together...

Sat. was the family reunion, so we went to help get it set up Fri. night.

Uncle Jonathan dropped some of us older kids off at the church because some were getting car sick. While we were there, the assistant pastor came and let us in. We got this bright idea. When Uncle Jonathan and the rest would return, we would be inside with the lights off so it would look like something had happened to us. So we waited till the pastor left, then turned off the light and talked till the rest came. When they pulled up, we tried to hide; but unfortunately they saw Jonathan's head. It didn't end up working how we wanted it to.

We are laughing at something funny the assistant pastor said.

We occupied ourselves by playing games.

Friday with our cousins....

We had a delightful time with our cousins ! Their were 17 people staying in one house which made for a very cramped house!! Especially with most of the population of kids!!!!!!

Arriving at our grandparents...........

This year was the Hostetter get together. The Kline's came up to PA and we went down to PA.

Our sweet Kaitlyn found out on the way up, that she has sugar diabetes. She was very brave when she had to get the shots!!! We all felt really bad for her, because the rest of us would be eating ice cream, and she couldn't have any! She handled the situation very well!!!
Heidi in action!
Most of us kid stayed on the 3rd floor. All of us 7 girls slept in one room! It made quite cramped conditions!!!

Some of the time our other cousin Danielle came over (the one in the green shirt).

Sarah had fallen down between two of the beds.

Daddy got his 1st deer......

This past Thursday, our family left to go down to our grandparents in PA. We were having a peaceful ride on the side of a steep incline, when all of a sudden, from the side of the cliff, a deer leaped right in front of our van! Usually you miss animals by a little bit. Not this time!! It hit smack in the front of the van. Thankfully it didn't hit the windshield, but it smashed the radiator. I was sitting up front when all of a sudden I saw this brown thing fling at us. I thought it wouldn't hit us, but then it crashed. All I could distinctly see were the hoofs flying up. We were going about 65 miles per hour. We could hear it crunch under our van. When we pulled off the road, and another car stopped and checked if we were alright. Thankfully, we were okay!!!! I thought our van was fine till I got out and saw the front smashed.. We had to wait till the tow truck came, then we had to go back to the garage to change drivers, because we were about 80 miles away from our grandparents.
