Water fight with the Wilson's....

The evening before Richland Camp began we girls and the Wilson boys had a water fight. We armed ourselves with the hose, water gun, 2 buckets and water balloons. Evangeline had the bright idea of drenching ourselves so we would get wet all at one time, then when we got hit with a water balloon etc. it wouldn't be as bad. The water we used was EXTREMLY cold!!! Needless to say, we had a blast!!!!!

Water Day with our cousins.....

For our cousin's birthday we gave him a coupon to have a water day at our uncles private pool. We got awful sunburns especially the twins!

Silas making a funny face.
Some of us played tug-of-war.... Mommy and our cousins Sarah and Silas against me (So totally unfair:)
Silas enjoyed splashing us by hitting the noodle on the water.

A visit with Mrs. Hobbs.......

The very next day after the Davis family left, I found out that we were going to have company that night. Daddy had invited a long-time friend from FL who was in Tennessee to come up for an estate sale by Skaneatelas Lake.

Mrs. Hobbs chatting in our porch.
Peaking in the window of a house down the street - Note!!! the house was empty, no one is living there.
One of the HUGE houses in Skaneatelas. This was one of my favorite.

A cute walk way to one of the houses.

Visit from the Davis family....

The Davis family, friends from Hobe Sound, FL came and spent the weekend at our house. We had a wonderful time together, and made many lasting memories!

Nobody Knows the Troubles I have.....

Elizabeth has a horrible time swallowing pills. Yesterday Mommy made her have a pill that was a HUGE horse pill. With her, whenever pills go down, they come right back up. Because of that she crushed it and put it on bread with jelly. As you can see she had a hard time getting it down.

4th of July at the Humphreys

Dr. Humphrey took us to the basement where he does his painting. You can see the painting he did of Evangeline playing our piano. Dr. Humphrey's great- great aunt was Grandma Moses!

We spent the first part of our 4th of July working at Richland Campmeeting. Then we went to our family Doctor's house for supper and had a great time.
We children ate in the kitchen.
Grandma Hostetter has been with us for 2 weeks and she went with us too. Here she is trying to explain to Dr. Humphrey that she is not a Mennonite.
Elizabeth has been giving Adam piano lessons since last September.

Dinner guests......

Two weeks ago tonight our friend and piano teacher Dr. Robert Auler, and his girlfriend Tara Riley came over for supper. We had a very enjoyable time, and we especially liked hearing him play after the meal! ( Nothin' like having a concert pianist come and play for you in your very own livingroom!) I think the most memorable part of the evening was when Dr. Auler laid under the piano, crossed his hands, and without looking played part of a piece that was (I believe) by Bach! It was incredible!
(Check out the photos....)

Dinner with Great Uncle George

Several weeks ago we had the privilege of having dinner with Great Uncle George from California.

A HUGE dish of cotton candy was served after the meal.
