Pictures from Emily's 13th Birthday

For Emily's birthday (October 19) we visited the Wilson family, good friends of ours. We had a blast and made many wonderful memories!

Photos:

- The exploration crew (minus the photographer) out in the wild....

- Emily with Lucas and Joshua

- Evangeline and Emily with Lucas and Joshua Wilson in a fort they started to make.

- We recieved a very unique welome when we arrived at the Wilson's house.... All members of the welcoming party were very high - literally!

- Evangeline trying to balance balloons in the basement..... Who knows, she just might become a professional balloon balancer some day!

Friends from Florida

Daddy's good friend, Kenny Hobbs and his son, Clouse, flew up from Florida and were with us last week from Wed. to Monday. They came up to go Salmon fishing, but we weren't there to take pictures of that. You will have to ask them for their fishing stories!!!

We sure enjoyed having them here, especially Emily, when Kenny helped her hang up the laundry!

A Labor of Love

From Daddy's antique business we have gotten to be great friends with Linda Popoff and her mother Niki. We have known them ever since we can remember and Niki is one of our other "Grandmothers".

We had them to our house for lunch and Niki surprised us with this wonderful quilt that she made out of antique fabric and personalized with all our names and even a piano and violin. Many months of hours of work went into this labor of love and we sure do appreciate it and think of her everytime we see it.

Warning to all school aged children....... Time is running out.
One more day of freedom until it happens...... We will soon be
smothered with all sorts of nonsense, filled to the uttermost with
undesirable knowledge, crushing our spirits with undue pressure.
So take heed. Any last enjoyable activities will soon be banished.
Take this oportunity and use it! Time is running out!

Water war: A father vs. daughter fight to the finish...

The war was on! Emily with her super-soaker and Dad with his teensy water gun and ink syringe (that also doubled as a water sprayer). Believe me, it was a sight to see! Looking at the last photo you should be able to guess who won....or rather, who lost.

WORK DAY AT RICHLAND CAMP

Our Family spent several days this week helping the Lambeth family get ready for Richland Campmeeting........ That included tearing downa chimney, raking leaves, and cleaning cabins etc. We enjoyed being part of the demolition crew for the chimney removal, especially when we got to use the sledge hammer! After the chimneywas taken out, I slid down the 1st floor hole to the basement. It was a longer drop that I had thought, but it was still worth the excitement! (The photo was taken looking down into the basement where we were working to clear the away the debris.)
